I missed the discussion on the Ruth Ozeki book. I found one aspect of the book fascinating – right at the very end, the author implies that Nao is Ruth’s creation. Specifically she talks about how the words disappear from the pages and then they come back. How Ruth goes to meet the father on the bench. These are issues an author faces when they dont know how to finish the book.

It is very well done – I thought. Maybe too well done because there is not much about this on the internet forums.

My take in other aspects (we love Nao, find Ruth boring, husband is mysterious..) was in accordance with other voices on the internet.
